My Heart Goes Out To Japan

When people talk about Japan, certain images pop into their mind- Pokemon, manga, ramen, samurais, and anime just to name a few. But never would I imagine Japan suffering from this type of disaster. As many of you all know, Japan was recently struck by a 8.9 magnitude Earthquake. As a result of that earthquake, a massive tsunami devastated all of Japan further more. Myself, living in San Jose, was not affected by the disaster but regardlessly, it is time for us to act. We are all busy in our daily lives, always putting off things that do not affect us at all, but please, donate to ShelterBox, the humanitarian organization which is sending humanitarian aid to Japan every second. Every donation counts to the people who have lost everything within Japan. I, myself, have donated money to ShelterBox.

Youtube Review: Kayla

Most of the individuals I've been reviewing come from the big towns, locations where it would easy to find a record deal or a manager or just any one that would recognize their talent. However, what about those who are small time girls? Thats what Kayla is. Kayla comes from a modest background of living her life in Wisconsin. She uses absolutely no musical equipment besides for her camera. Through each day, she's gaining more and more fans and I hope that she persuades music as her profession. Her musical style differs from most the the music I been reviewing. Her music composes of just pure guitars, which is something I usually do not enjoy. When she collaborates with other artists, her music utilizes techno, which is extremely difficult to make a song sound good. But don't take it from me, take it from her music.

Youtube Review: D-Pryde

Sorry folks, I know I been gone for quite a bit but I hope you guys didn't miss me too much. Now, let's get to it shall we?

D-Pryde isn't a rising Youtube star because frankly, he IS a star. With over 100K subscribers, he's a bit mainstream on Youtube as you'll see him using his trademarked "YEAHHH", or drinking a can of Arizona tea, or moving his bangs to the side. A bit of history on him. At an early age, his father left him, his brother, and his mother. In 2005, he began rapping but went through a brief hiatus in 2007 and has continued to rap every since. His talent somewhat resembles that of Maribelle Anes, a talent at such a young age. However, don't let me blah on about him. Below are examples of what he can bring to the music industry.

MOVIE REVIEW: Tron: Legacy

To simply describe it, Tron is visually appealing to the eyes but intellectually dulling to the mind. Every effect generated in Tron is beautiful captured and displayed so well that it pulls you into the movie. Even, if you have no idea what's going on, you'll be entertained nonetheless. The downside to the movie would have to be the storyline. The storyline is completely generic to every single adventure movie you seen since you were a little kid (but let's not go there since it's going to spoil the entire movie). Another lacking would be the lack of humor. The film does have its moments of snickering but don't expect a comedy here, folks. The film takes a serious tone that hooks your eyes on the screen. Overall, this is a very good film of which I'm giving a 7/10 (a higher score if it had a better storyline). Best of all, you can take the young ones with you! :D
